In 1997, after teaching elementary school for a number of years, Cindy joined the late Sheldon Hoffman, then of S.R. Hoffman & Associates, to become a sales and marketing agent for the North Star Lofts. This was a collaborative, pioneering effort with Brighton Development Corporation, Paul Madson & Associates and Kraus-Anderson Construction to renovate the landmark North Star Blanket Factory.
Over the next nine years, Cindy and Shel went on to sell out four additional award-winning buildings on Minneapolis’s historic river front: Stone Arch Lofts, Washburn Lofts, Humboldt Lofts, and Park Avenue Lofts. A decade later this neighborhood has come to life, becoming the premier residential and cultural neighborhood in downtown Minneapolis.
In June 2006 Cindy struck out on her own and joined Keller Williams Realty. She has become known as the neighborhood expert and “go-to” girl for all that is related to Mill District properties. Her focus has remained constant as she represents her clients exclusively with the highest level of personal service and discretion. Since 2007 she has also developed an unparalleled niche downtown for her specialization in upper bracket Private Real Estate.
Cindy has been recognized by Keller Williams for the past two years for her achievements in real estate, receiving a fourth place honor for top sales in the Midwest in 2007 and 2nd place honors in 2008. She is also certified as a Luxury Home Specialist, which recognizes her specific upper-tier market knowledge, and her understanding of the needs of her affluent clients. This designation is awarded to those few agents who specialize in the top ten percent of the marketplace, which in Minneapolis involves homes listed at $750,000 or more.
“We first met Cindy nine years ago when we were interested in new construction in the Mill District. At the time, the area was still in the early stages of development. She was very knowledgeable of the area, which was helpful, since we didn’t know much about the ongoing projects. We soon bought a unit on the river. She said that our only mistake was not buying two units. Well, she was certainly right!”
“She recently sold our property, which we decided not to list on MLS. It was a very easy, discreet process. Over the years, we’ve developed a nice personal relationship in addition to our business relationship. We’ve been lucky to have Cindy as our agent.”

“I have just closed a condominium transaction in which Cindy Froid was my Realtor, in this case she represented both the seller and the buyer which is an indication of the confidence clients have in her. Cindy was extremely competent and professional in every way. I’m happy to recommend her.”

“We were delighted to work with Cindy again. Cindy sold us our condo originally, as well as other properties, so it was easy to phone her again. We asked Cindy not to list our condo on MLS, since we were not in a hurry to sell and only wanted sincere buyers for our price range. We were surprised to have so many offers immediately. The condo was sold in a month, allowing us to move forward. I would recommend Cindy to anyone.”

“We first met Cindy when we bought our loft at the Washburn upon our arrival in Minneapolis. From the beginning, we were impressed with her skill set and it was obvious to us that she was the “go to” person for downtown living.
So, when a new job in Washington DC took us away from Minneapolis, Cindy was the first person we called. Not surprising, she already had several potential buyers in mind. Because she knows the market so well, and has a long history of knowing many real estate contacts, she was able to sell our loft in a very short time.
Our working experience with Cindy was truly a pleasure and we value greatly her professional and personal gifts. We give her our highest recommendation.”
