Nokomis area is the South Minneapolis haven of Lakes. Nokomis Lake, Lake Hiawatha, and the picturesque (and kayakable) Minnehaha Creek are highlights. It’s a classic area with many mid-century era single family homes. This was the first place the Light Rail was constructed, linking the airport in the south east corner of the metro to the Downtown corridor. The home of competing burger champions (Matt’s Bar and the 4-8 Club), two competing classic rib joints, three new breweries and many charming small businesses, this neighborhood is great for those seeking proximity to Lakes and and easy commute into downtown.
Ericsson, Regina, Northrop, Field, Page, Hale, Diamond Lake, Keewaydin, Minnehaha, Wenonah, and Morris Park are neighborhoods within Nokomis.
